No matter how welcoming and friendly a church may be, it can still be a little uncomfortable and intimidating to visit the first time. We hope that the details below answer most of your questions and help make your first visit more meaningful and enjoyable.
As you enter the sanctuary, an usher will hand you a worship folder which will include the “Order of Worship.” It covers the service, including hymns and songs, Bible readings, and the message--making the service easy to follow. Expect the service to last for approximately one hour.
Sit wherever you like. There is no reserved seating. Guests are never singled out. You will not be requested to stand up, wear a name tag, or do anything that might be embarrassing. During the service, ushers hand out “friendship registers”. You may write in your name as a guest and let us know that you attended worship with us. We leave it up to you to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
We pass an offering plate during the service in which our members place their gifts and tithes for God’s work at our church and throughout the world. We appreciate any gift you may choose to give, while as a guest, you are not expected to give an offering.
If you are wondering how to dress for worship, we have a friendly and casual atmosphere that allows you to dress in the way you feel most comfortable, from jeans to smart casual.
We have a staffed nursery for infants and toddlers. While your children are always welcome in worship with you, if you have any questions about childcare, please ask an usher.
The one who welcomes you, welcomes me, and the one who welcomes me, welcomes He who sent me.
